Who am I?

Dear Energy Lady,
I am a wife, a daughter, a sister, a woman, a mother, a grandmother, a niece, an Aunt, a friend, a volunteer, a coworker, a direct report, a cook, a musician, a gardener, an artist, a citizen, an alumna, a voter, a Presbyterian, an athlete, a peace-maker and more.  So my question is: what do all these identities make me energetically?

Signed,
Multiple Personalities

Dear Multiple:
The answer is simple: they make you, You.

In actuality, none of these things is you.  They are just roles you have chosen, either consciously or spiritually.  You will likely have and lose multiple roles in your lifetime, but none of them is you.  They're just what you want to do or how you want to define yourself at the moment.

So in terms of how they impact you energetically, every single one of them limits your energy in some way.  This is necessary because if it didn't, you'd never experience the contrast you need to continue creating and getting the most out of what the life experience has to offer.

Additionally, you will undoubtedly love some roles more than others, and some circumstances in those roles more than others.  Some roles and situations make you feel peaceful and free; others make you feel resistant.   How you are, not what you are, decides how your energy flows.

Just remember this:  because you are none of these things and all of these things, they do not define you.  You are actually No-Thing and No-Body because you are Source/God/Love in an individuated form.  So regardless of your roles, do not identify too closely with them.  If you do, something will likely happen that will challenge that belief.

Love,
EL
