Too busy and high strung to relax

Dear Readers,
Even Energy Ladies need a tune-up once in a while, so I'm happy to share that I am currently taking part in Penache Desai's 21-day program.  It's impossible to describe how gracious and loving he and his wife are or how wonderful it feels to listen to him speak.  His words ring true, and his message is simple:  we are all loved and supported, and all is well.

Since this column talks about how our vibrational state affects our life experiences, I will share the one thing that Penache has reinforced in our encounters thus far:  if you want to raise your vibration, just relax.

For most people, that is easier said than done.  See if anything on this list holds true for you:

--You can't keep your hands off your Smart or Iphone, constantly sending messages, surfing the Internet or checking to see if anything has come in for you

--You head for your computer as soon as you get home from work

--You are constantly busy; the word "multitasking" was designed with you in mind

--Your mind races day and night, and often awakens you from sleep

--You watch TV shows that agitate you; you may even find yourself yelling at the set

--You never, ever finish your "to do" list

--Even on vacation, you're either running around or checking your technology

If any of this is true for you, you're probably blocking the flow of energy in your life, which suggests that things could possibly be more of a struggle for you than they need to be.

There are certainly many ways to let go, but Penache suggests something very simple:  Just relax.

Can't do it?  Try again.

Just relax.

You could try tensing/releasing every major muscle group; a hot bath with magnesium salts; soothing music; petting your favorite animal; a massage; or just breathing.  But know this:  as soon as you turn off your thinking and simple BE, what is truly meant to be yours will come to you and through you.

Turn off the busy and turn on to being.   And if you'd like to experience Penache for yourself, his website is www.penachedesai.com

Enjoy!

EL

On the wings of love

Dear Energy Lady,
Why is it that when you're in love, everything in your life works better?  And how can you keep the energy going when the relationship starts to settle into a softer rhythm?

Signed,
Flying High

Dear Flying,
Love is a very high vibration.  Dr. David Hawkins calibrated a vibrational scale that you'll find in his book, "Power Versus Force," and love calibrates at a level of 500 out of 1000.  And if you're feeling a little bit joyful, that calibrates at 540.   Only Peace and Enlightenment are higher.

So when you're vibrating at such a high level, you create and magnetize experiences that resonate at the same level.   Since these vibrate at the same level as love, these experiences usually feel very good to you, so you consider that your life is "working better."  But it really isn't life that's working any better; it's you.

Of course it's natural to want to keep this feeling going as long as you can.  But that's the thing with energy: you can't hold on to it or stop it.  It has to flow.  And honestly, you wouldn't appreciate the feeling of love or beauty if you didn't also experience the contrast of the lower vibrations.

This said, you can keep your vibration high by continuously releasing love.  Just let it go.  This creates a vacuum so that more love can flow in.  And if you believe that love is limitless, that's exactly what will happen.  So you need to trust that love is abundant for everyone.

Actually, since love is what makes up all of creation, you may start to see/experience it everywhere.   So try this:  start paying attention.  Look for love in all its forms.  Young love.  Old love.  Friends.  Care-giving.  Grieving when someone you love dies.  Love of animals, earth, hobbies...you name it.  Love is everywhere.

Get used to the idea that love is your/our natural state of being, and it's only the stories we tell ourselves that covers it up.  So the more you deliberately try to get in touch with it every day, the "higher" you'll feel about life and in life.

Love you!

10 blocks to manifestation

Dear Energy Lady,
I am a great visualizer--I have a terrific imagination, and no have no problem having vivid, almost-real thoughts.  My problem is that I'm not manifesting things as fast as I think I should be.  What's the problem?

Signed,
Fantasy Land

Dear Fantasy,
Sounds like you just have some old, stale energy that's blocking your creations.  Here's a partial list of what might be mucking up the works:

--Old beliefs that no longer serve you
--A negative environment that is neutralizing your creative efforts
--Stuck energy (do you sit around a lot?  Get up and move!)
--Doubts and/or fears about manifesting what you think you want
--Trying to control outcomes in a very specific way
--"Working" at manifesting rather than allowing it
--Wanting something--the more you want, the more you create separation between yourself and the thing you're trying to create.  Try imagining that you have it, not that you don't
--Thinking of something happening in the "future"  (everything is created in the now)
--Trying to manifest something that's good for you, but could be harmful to others
--Trying to manifest something in someone else's life

When you manifest, ask what your intention is in doing so.  What is the ultimate result or outcome you're trying to create?  Focus on the changed state of being, and see if it feels light, peaceful and happy to you and all who are touched by it.  If the answer is yes, carry on.  If not, back off and just enjoy the life you have in this moment, for it too was created by you.  Then things can unfold naturally from there.

Have fun!

EL

Lovely!

Dear Energy Lady,
I've been consciously working on letting go of some of my negative stuff, and lately, it feels like there has been a shift.  Is it me, or is there really more love in the world these days?  Are everyone's vibes up or what?

Signed,
Feeling Buzzy

Dear Buzz,
I don't know if there's any more love in the world than there used to be; since all of us ARE love, it may not be a matter of amount, but rather, how much of it we let out.  Good for you for making a conscious effort to reveal yours!

Most of the time, we pour out our love in times of tragedy.   But you're right; there does seem to be more love than ever before.   Many loving teachers have emerged who are helping people quiet their minds and bring out their joy.  And maybe people are just getting tired of being angry and negative, so they're choosing happiness.

If you know people who aren't feeling this way yet, tell them to simply open their eyes and look around.  There is a wonderful movie called "Love Actually" that says, "if you look, you'll see that love is actually all around."  And it's true.

On any given day, you can see safe drivers everywhere.  Parents hug their children at bus stops.  You see friends laughing together.  Billions of emails are sent every day, and many of them contain kind or uplifting thoughts.  People share what they love about life on Pinterest and other sites.  Restaurants are full of people enjoying thoughtfully prepared meals and time with friends or family.

In nature, flowers grow, clouds float by, and the ocean dances with the shore.  Every place on earth has something wonderful or beautiful.

This doesn't mean that there isn't any ugliness or sadness in the world; it just points out that if we pay attention, there is at least as much or more love for everything and everyone.

So you're right--the vibes are up; the joy is rising!   Keep letting go of your heavier vibes, and you'll see more and more of them.

Vibrantly,
EL

Working Naturally

Dear Energy Lady,
It's Monday, and I hate going back into an office after spending the whole weekend outdoors.  Is there any way I can keep the energy of nature going inside 4 walls?

Signed,
Nature Girl

Dear Nature,
Yes, it's true that being out in nature helps our energy to flow, which is why it feels so good.  Often, our thoughts soften and our hearts open outdoors, which is why so many people find inspiration or renewal there.

Offices are usually the antithesis of a natural environment, and even having a few plants in your office doesn't do much to change the atmosphere.  So don't focus on the physical; instead, look at the energy of nature, and how you can make that come alive through you wherever you happen to be.

Here are a few ideas you can try:
--Nature is authentic.  A tree is a tree; a bird is a bird.  One does not try to be the other.  Be authentic at work and bring your whole self to your part in the action.

--Nature thrives in all stages of the lifecycle.   In nature, things are born and they die, and exist in all stages in between.  At work, we often fight against change, rather than accept that it is a natural part of daily life.  If you're holding on to old beliefs, stuck habits or grudges, let them go.

--Nature welcomes everyone.  Are there people at work you dislike?  Do you avoid certain people?  Even fungus, mold and decay are part of nature, and play an important part in nourishing the soil and providing homes for the life of the forest.  So realize that everyone has a role to play, even if you may not like it/them.  See if you can appreciate their point of view and what they bring to the moment, even if that is only negative contrast for others to use to determine a more positive point of view.

--Nature has many personalities.  It can be stormy and destructive, or peaceful and nourishing--sometimes within a period of minutes.  It all serves a purpose, and it's inevitable.   So take care.  Use your common sense and your sixth sense to know when to go forward in a storm or when to ride it out.  Remember that sometimes nature uses wildfires, tornados and other destructive forces to reinvent itself, and that often, something new and better emerges after the trouble has passed.

In other words, be natural, not negative when you come to the office.  Stop trying to change the  nature of the office and instead, live in it as you do when you're outside.

Enjoy!

Love,
EL

Paul White's Lottery Energy

Dear Energy Lady,
I was listening to Paul White talk about his lottery win, and it seems like there are a lot of connections between what you write and what he said.  Am I imagining this, or is it true?

Signed,
Future Lottery Winner?

Dear Winner,
No, you're not imagining the connection.  There is a huge energy component in what happened to Paul; while some might call it "lucky," it was actually Fullistic, including multiple dimensions of mind, body, spirit and higher dimensional vibration.  Here's why:

1) He was quoted as saying, "I've been waiting for this day my entire life."  From a mind perspective, he had been thinking of this for years, and maybe decades.  Every single time he did that, he resonated with the vibration of being a lottery winner.  If you do that thousands of times, you eventually become that vibration, and winning is assured.

2) From a body perspective, he played the lottery games all the time, but reserved his $10 bets for when the Powerball was big.  In other words, he went out and bought the tickets.  As they say, "You can't win it if you're not in it."  Plus, he kept his eye on his Powerball numbers.  Anyone who plays the lottery knows that it is the Powerball that matters; if you have that, you always win something, even if it's just a few dollars.  Paul always checked his Powerball number first, because he expected to win.

3) From a spirit perspective, he talked about winning in a light-hearted way.  He said that everyone knew his financial plan was to win the lottery.  Winning wasn't a hope that he kept locked inside him; it was part of his normal conversation.  Every time he did that, he was speaking the experience into being.

4) Also from the mind and spirit perspectives, he knew exactly what he was going to do when he won.  He said he had rehearsed the day in his mind hundreds of time, so when the time came, he said it was easy for him to move forward, claim the prize and get the publicity out of the way so he could move forward.  What this suggests is that he had absolutely no fear or reservation about winning; no worry about what he would say or do, which would block the arrival of the experience.

5) From a higher mind perspective, he is focused on sharing his win with others.  This win isn't just good for him; he has his heart and mind set on giving his family and others great experiences with it.   He's using the money to bring joy to others, and to do good in the world through charity.   So he clearly enjoys money and appreciates what it can do.  My guess is that he already has a good financial planner, too.

6) He's having fun.  This may be the most important energetic element.  Most lottery players are deadly serious.  They want to win, but likely feel like losers when they buy the tickets.  That disconnect is enough to stop the flow of energy cold.  Paul didn't need this money; it was a "nice to have" not a "must have."  He enjoyed the experience of playing and the happy thoughts it generated for him.   He turned the game into a game he played with himself, and made a lot of other people laugh along the way.   He says he hopes he doesn't change, and he probably won't, since he's actually been resonating with the energy of being a lottery winner for decades, and his personality has stayed intact.

So there you have it.  If you want to win the lottery:  1) Visualize it.  2) Talk about it.  3) Expect it.  4) Plan for it.  5) Participate in the game.  6) Think like a winner and focus on what makes for a winning ticket.  7) Have a generous heart.  8) Don't take yourself or the lottery too seriously.  9) Have fun!

That's the energy of a winner!

The desires of your heart

Dear Energy Lady,
I've been trying to set goals, but the problem is that I have little kids, a demanding job and lots of other things that keep me from achieving them.  I'm open to any advice you want to give.

Signed,
Still at the starting line

Dear Starting,
From an energetic standpoint, there is a big problem with goals.  When you set them, there's a gap between where you are now and where you want to be.   In other words, there's a mismatch between your vibrational levels, and until you shift to the new state, you'll never realize what you want or hope.   That's why you'll never get "there" from "here"--the distance in vibrations is too great.

What to do?  Imagine that you have already achieved your goal, and that you're in an entirely new state of being.  Shift into what you might otherwise call the "future," although by doing it now, it's happening in this moment.  Just allow yourself to feel as you would if things were the way you want them to be.

If you feel doubt or other thought blockages to the new state, those will need to be challenged and/or removed.  Once you do, you will have and be in the new state, and circumstances will shift to support you to more fully become and stay in it.

In other words, change first from the inside, and the outside will conform to your wishes.  You may have heard the expression "act as if," and you'll need to do that, but not until you ARE "as if."

Mostly, that simply means letting go of any tension you feel, and accept that the desires of your heart (which are driving your goals) are meant to manifest.  So stop fighting them with excuses.  Just let them live in you, and then live them in the world.

Love,
EL
