Dear Energy Lady,
I am looking for a way to make my baseball game better. I'm an ok hitter, but I'd really like to be a great one. I've only hit one home run, but I'll never forget it.
Can you help?
Signed,
Sick of strike outs
Dear Sick,
You say that you hit one home run, and that you'll never forget it. What do you remember? Can you feel your feet digging into the dirt? Can you sense the ball coming towards you? Can you hear the sound of the bat meeting the ball? Can you feel the tingle in your arms as you hit it? Can you see it sail away, over the fence?
Ahhhh! Feels good, doesn't it? And since you've done it once, you know what it feels like, looks like, sounds like--maybe even smells like. You don't need to be told that it's possible, because you've done it.
So why don't you do it every time you step up to the plate?
I bet when you read that sentence that a dozen different reasons why you can't do it popped into your mind. So let me ask you this:
How's that working for you?
What if you didn't believe those reasons? What if they weren't true? What if they're just a story you've made up, a fiction?
I'm not saying that you should try to psych yourself into believing that you'll hit a home run every time you step up to the plate. For as soon as you put that polarity on the table, the opposite automatically springs into mind as well. And that's what you don't want.
If you've been reading this blog for a while, you know that Fullistics doesn't require positive thinking in order to work. Instead, it simply involves raising your vibration. And there are many wonderful ways to do that.
In your case, try stepping up to the plate and think...nothing. Put the bat in your hands, a smile on your face and feel your heart open. Then keep your eye on the ball and let life move through you.
Just remember: if a thought isn't working for you, drop it. You can replace it if you want with something more positive, but you don't have to. Just stop believing it.
Have fun!
Love,
EL
